Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is a combination of a safe sedative with oxygen. It will be administered through a facemask, and as you inhale, you will begin to feel relaxed. During the dental procedure, you will feel completely calm and won’t have to deal with any discomfort.

Oral Sedation

This type of sedation involves taking a prescribed dose of a sedative. You will feel more relaxed and will have an increased pain threshold, which will make the procedure easier on both you and the dentist.

Depending on the strength of the sedation, the dentist will have you take the medication either the night before or up to an hour before your procedure. You might feel a little drowsy, and patients have sometimes reported nausea, so we recommended having someone drive you home when the procedure is over.

IV Sedation

IV sedation is a method that involves administering a sedative directly into your bloodstream before the procedure. This is a form of conscious sedation, which means that you will be completely at ease and without pain, but still be awake. After the procedure is over, you will have little to no memory of what happened.
